Lordy, can't get this visual outta my mind!! Sounds like something I'd do , too, in the dark of night (with yard lights blaring) in my nightie, barefooted, to get something out of the car!
So glad your chickies have some duck friends apparently.

Beautiful day here, but we did have an earthquake last night. First one that was strong enough to wake me up in years. Felt and sounded like a car drove into the house.
I was looking at my emergency water supply just this week and thinking it is time to replenish it. I have a drinking water supply in a food safe 5 gallon jug and another supply of about 4 gallons in none food safe container for other uses.

My brother had to do a chicken rescue. We had rain for 5 days and nights. Temps were in the low 30's and only 20 at night-wind anywhere from 10 to 30 mph.and higher at night. Lots of flash floods throughout the state and into Arkansas. But waking today to beautiful sunshine and back to wearing a hoody. Temps will be heading back into the 50's and 40's for night time.
