Christening Gown

What a fabulous heirloom. Hope you include the story about its origin with the dress and many generations will continue to wear it and cherish it. I made one for my middle son's children and embroidered the names of the kids and their birthdates on the slip in white so it wouldn't shadow through the dress. Your GGD is beautiful and her smile says it all.

a lace cross on the front and lace on the hem. I did not embroider the name, etc. on it. Didn't even think of it, actually. I think that is a great idea & I am going to get it back and do that. Thanks!

I was commissioned (twice!!!) to make baptismal gowns from "Mommy's" First Communion dress. They turned out really nice. I don't think I would have 'guts enough' to cut into a wedding dress because I wouldn't want mine cut into. Doesn't make sense....it just hangs there in the closet doing no good!!!
