I will always put up a tree. It may be a small one but I hope I will never get to the point where it's too much trouble to mess with all the Christmas stuff, family around or not. It would be too sad not to have one day of celebrating something once a year.

I won't be putting up a regular tree this year due to the two little four legged puppies I have one is 1yr and the other is 6month, don't think the tree would stand a chance.
I do have 2 porcelian trees that are decorated with little lighthouses on them they light up so put them up every year plus some of the other decorations that I can put up high enough the little ones don't get them!

No. Would just have to take it down and put it away and that would take time away from sewing quilts.I don't need a tree to remind me that it is Christmas.

Yes I have always had a tree but I downsized this year to a table top 5' prelite tree. It is much easier but I have made 5 wall hangings to balance the smaller tree. One is 7' by 5' and is pieced and appliqued and lots of gold and glitter. My granddaughter has asked for me to give it to her when I replace it. The others are less fancy but have a lot of hand quilting on them. We will have a smaller chirstmas this year because of childrens finances just cannot streach for the trips. Merry Christmas to all. When we were downsizing to full time RVers, I asked my girls what they wanted from the collection of Christmas stuff. They all fought over a little plastic Christmas tree that had some broken pieces around the bottom. It has four lights inside that blink and alternate. It was a part of their childhood. We had to draw straws.

I have one of those kind that has the revolving color that is projected into long fibers that are woven into the tree. It is about 30 inches tall and very pretty. I don't decorate at all other than that.

I will always put up a tree and decorations, I enjoy them so much. I do all the decorating, putting up and taking down. DH does haul them back and forth from storage.

It is getting less fun each year. We still don't have our small one up yet but plan on doing it tomorrow. No one is coming for Christmas this year, the first time. But we'll be seeing everyone at my middle dd house. Then right after New Year we will have 2 grand kids with us for the week cuz they will still be on Winter break (geesh we used to call it Christmas vacation) and parents have to work.

So we'll leave tree and some decorations up till at least Jan. 6th ... we always did that cuz oldest dd was born on Jan 6th, and we celebrated 'little Christmas' ... sometimes the tree stayed up longer. So much work to put all that away when we had a big tree.

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA
