This year is the first year that my now 33 month old granddaughter has understood the concept of trick of treating. After her Dad took her around the neighborhood, they came back to the house and Anna helped Mom hand out candy to kids. After a large group, Anna leaned up against the closed front door and said "This is a lot of work!"

At 33 months, she's still not toilet trained but brave Mom decided to put her in panties anyway. Wet in no time. Mom: "Oh no, you peed in your Dora panties!" Anna: "That's OK, we have more."

This brings back memories. When my GS was about 4 we stopped at a pizza place to have lunch with his mother. The place was really busy and so was the waitress. Josh decided he wanted more iced tea. We couldn't get the waitresses attention so finally his patience got the better of him and he stood up on the bench and asked very loudly "Can I have some more tea, please". I was almost ROFL and my daughter was mortified. Everyone in the restaurant thought it was funny except my daughter. And yes, he finally got his iced tea. We still joke about it today and my GS is 25 years old.

We recently got new carpet in our family room and told the granddaughters (ages 3 and 5) no one can wear their shoes in there now. They have become the official "shoe patrol" at our house and don't care who it is...they've even toldus, our friends and their other grandpa "NO SHOES ON THE CARPET"!

The other night Papa was talking to the 5 yr old and asked her how much she loved him...she held up her fingers about 4 inches apart...he was all happy and smiles and asked for a hug...then she said "but I love Nana this much" and held up both arms as wide apart as she could get them...we both busted up laughing. She's a Nana's girl for sure!

My 4 year old GS isn't allowed to say farting in public, so I had him and his 2 yr. old sister at Walmart and she let a stinker. He proudly exclaimed "Elyse, your hiney is talking!" I thought the elderly lady in front of us would have a heart attack.

This was about 20 years ago, my grandson had just gotten his first glasses. We stopped a store for his Mom to get a couple things and GS and I waited in the a/c car for her return. I asked about the new glasses and said to him,"can you see the mortar between the bricks in the storefront" his reply was." yes Grandma and I can see the wrinkles in your face too". Love the innocence and truthfulness of our little ones.

I feel like I could write a novel about all the funny things I hear.

My niece is SUPER stinky in the bathroom and when she was younger and needed help wiping she'd be sitting on the toilet, shirt over her mouth, screaming for help..when you got to the door she would say "you might wanna plug your nose like this cause it smells real bad."

I have a couple students that say funny things all the time. One took my "you get what you get and don't throw a fit" lecture to a new level. I gave him the ever hated brown whiteboard marker and he exclaims "YESSSSS!...wanna know why I said YESSSSS when you gave me this marker?" (of course I wanted to know) "Because my skin is brown, and so is my families"

One more, one more....

A little blonde boy in kindergarten starts humming Poker Face by Lady GaGa and the little girl next to him gets this happy look on her face and states proudly "OOOO that's GooGoo GaGa...i LOVE HER!"

haha, my jobs the best.

I was in a restaurant with my cousin and her 3-year-old. My cousin asks, "Madison, do you need to go to the bathroom?" Her compassionate response was, "No, Mommy. Do you?" The whole table burst out laughing, except Madison who was waiting to see if she needed to accompany her mommy to the bathroom.

As my mom says, it's always funny when it's someone else's kid.

My great grand daughter, Emma, 5, was asking questions.....MiMi, where's your Daddy? He's in heaven Emma. Where's your Mommy? She's in heaven too. Do ya have a brother? I did. He's in heaven. She says---Boy you're lucky aren't you? I'm lucky, I asked, why is that? Cause God's already got all those angels, he won't need you for a long time. God Bless her!
