YOu guys are brave. I am afraid of the scale. I will step on to it on the 31st. My husband says it is good mojo to have sauerkraut on New Years so we will probably have that. Very high in sodium but low in calories. I drink an occasional drink but don't drink much alcohol either. We have a Christmas party Saturday night and are probably go out on New Years. New Years(if we go) is a pretty far drive out into the country so no alcohol for me. I always have to be the designated driver. About once a year when a couple of drinks sound good I make my DH drive home.

Ok, everyone, For the third time last night I had some bad stomach cramping. I'm wondering if it could be gall bladder issues. This has not been fun. What are some of the symptoms of gall bladder issues?

Gayle - I never had stomach cramping. I did have a muscle spasm issue that feld as if it was right above the stomach area on my left, but right below my ribs. That seems to have gone since surgery too. My main symptoms were extreme bloating all across my middle and up under the center of my ribs, sometimes making it hard to breath. Of course gas, heartburn, a little reflux, and pain in my back, under my left shoulder blade and across to my right. Oh, plus I was getting dull headaches, which I never get. Usually all my issues happened about an hour or so after eating my evening meal. Got to the point I was just eating a bowl of soup, or crackers. Seemed everything but that gave me issues. Thanksgiving about killed me as I thought God or someone would give me the holiday off to enjoy myself. Hahahahaha.....boy was I stupid. Layed in bed all night in misery trying to get comfortable.

I went to the gastro doc who sent me for blood work and an ultrasound. That confirmed it!! Gallstones and a diseased gallbladder. Surgeon said when he went in it was enflamed. And I feel so much better now. None of the old symptoms. Just some new ones that I don't mind. My body has to get use to the change and adjust. Learning what I can and can't eat when i go out, so I don't have a bathroom issue.

Hope you feel better and find out what the issue is!! I know that stuff like that is no fun!!!!
The trouble with Trouble is.....It usually starts out like fun!!

I'm still trying to figure this our. I have a lot of cramping, or pain just under the ribs, though it seems central. No pain in back or shoulder. No headache. There is bloating, and I belch a lot. It has happened three times when I have had some Chips and salsa. Though last week I had some without issue, as well as Christmas day. The second and third time I really wasn't hungry and I ate anyway. I suppose I should call my Dr after the first. I am going to be really careful how I eat this weekend. I don't want to go thru that again!!! From the beginning I have felt that this was no flu or bug or even food poisoning. Right now I am totally relating it to corn tortillas. Though, I have never had a problem in the past. I have had a cast iron stomach!!!
I sure hope this does not happen again. Maybe it is not gall bladder, maybe something else....

Gayle most of my gallbladder pain was related to how much greasy food I ate. ( chips are somewhat greasy) The more junk food I ate the worse the troubles. If the problem has happened several times it is time for the doctor to look at it. I am really big on avoiding the doctor. I guess that comes from years and years without health insurance. Good luck
I told my DD she is going to have to take my grandson out of here, every time he eats I eat. He is a snacker. I have had sooooooooo much junk it is gross. They have been here for 2 weeks and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. He is 2 1/2. So cute. He is in to everything! I really need some baby gates. He loves to go upstairs. I have to keep my sewing room locked when he is here. He went up there with me yesterday. I went to get a fabric to show my DD for a baby quilt. Second grandson due in April. He kept picking up things and telling me "not for babies." I will miss them when they leave tomorrow. I have got to get back on the good food train.

All of my gallbladder pain has been related to greasy food except for catsup and canned tuna when the gallbladder was really bad. Why those two?? I thought I was dying the first time that was brought on by overeating potato chips while extremely pregnant. The last attack over a year ago was the worst, but so far no repeat, thank goodness.

No red FQs for me, darn it. I am tired of anything except healthy food, so maybe January will be better.

I started a baby quilt today. I just found out my GD's shower is the 13th, not later in the month and it has to be mailed to Kansas City, MO. It's was hard to make a either/or quilt when I think she's having a girl. I want to do pink! I wonder how long I can leave the Christmas tree up?? I can't skip GS's bb games and one is 90 miles up the road.

Here's wishing us all 24 hours of clean eating. One day at a time.

Yes I need to get back to clean eating. My grandson and I made a cheesecake for the other grandma yesterday. It was her birthday. She loves cheesecake. He loves to cook. I did the math and figured out what size pan to use to make 2 small cheesecakes from one recipe. We each got a small one. The one here is almost gone.
I have made a big salad. Something I saw on Pintrest. It is kale, spinach and lettuce. You top it with strawberries, blueberries, carrots and cucumbers and almonds. There was some kind of health benefit to each ingredient that I don't remember. I just like it. I have never liked kale in a salad. They said to massage it first. It makes it so much better. Not so tough.
I need to make a baby quilt too. My DD is having a boy. ( we were hoping for a girl but will take whatever as long as it's healthy)SHe says she wants something kinda Charley Harper looking. I will have to study on that one. I don't like to applique so not sure what I will come up with.

OOPS I forgot to put the new thread up, I will be doing that in just a few minutes.

Tonight when I get home I will post the colors for the next 3 months. January will be neutrals.

Here is the link for the new thread.

I started our at 189 the beginning of the month and am down to 184. I am excited to see my numbers this low. It has been a long time since I have been down this low.

Good luck ladies. Dont forget to send you your loss for the month. We are seeing that small losses have been some of our big winners.

I guess I will have to face the scale today. I am sure it isn't good. I probably won't be able to go back to work on Wednesday because none of my clothes will fit.

Great loss for the month Cindy!!! I am only down 4 but I will take it!!!!
This gives me 50 lbs since last Thanksgiving. I still have a long way to go but 50 in about a year is livable!!! If I can lose another 50 this year I will be excited. If I lose more.... than even better!!!!! My "goal" is about another 90 lbs, but I can live with just 50 more!

I have been staying away from any fried food. Am going to a party with my In-laws tonight. It is just appetizers from 6 - 8. I have no need to stay up until midnight. It is about a 2 hr drive down to their house, so we are leaving around 2. Tomorrow is my Step Father-in-Law's 86th birthday. We decided that we would spend some time with him on his birthday. Two of my kids are going to join us tomorrow and then we will go see the Hobbit movie again, this time in 3-D Imax. Hope you all have a great day, watch what you eat and drink tonight!!!

I saw the Hobbit in Imax 3d and it was awesome. It was the first one I seen this way. I so enjoyed the movie. My friend I went with had read the book and I haven't. He told me I need to read the book.

Keep you your hard work. I am down 65lbs in 15 months. I am going to keep going and get down to my goal.

You do need to read the book. Though you will find the book a little different than the movie.
I originally read all the books in High School. We then read them to our kids a couple of times. So it is a big thing for our family to see these Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit movies. We have had great fun with them over the years!
