we recently bought a Maytag that has a lot of room in it. the bottom shelf can hold really tall items as it is lower than the typical dishwasher. the top shelf also holds taller items, and that is where the bowls go, too. I thought my DH was nuts when he chose this one and it took getting used to, having to bend over farther to load it. Hate to say it, but DH made a great decision!

We have a Bosch with the stainless interior and it cleans the dishes and is very quiet. If I remember correctly the sales guy at the store (a local store, not a big box) said most of the components on most of the same dishwashers are made by the same companies. At least that's what he said. So far we are happy with our choice. It is about a year old.

I have a Kenmore; it's not the top of the line because after buying all of my other stainless steel appliances and remodeling my kitchen I couldn't afford it. I did buy the warranty and I also renewed it years late when it came time. With the extended warranty Sears comes out once a yr to do the maintenance on it; which preserves the life of machine. It must work because my dishwasher is over 10ys old and it gets used at least once daily if not more. The one I want has the two drawers in it; you can separate your dirtiest dishes from the glasses and you can also only run a load in one drawer if needed. It will probaby be a kenmore as well or at least from Sears

DB just got a Bosch over a year ago, it was a great price, comparable to the other low/mid range machines.
It gets used a lot during our family get togethers, is whisper quiet, and does a wonderful job cleaning the dishes. :D:D:D

We bought a Meile when our high end Kitchenaide broke after just three years. We love it! The silverware tray is flat and it is a pullout rack it the very top of the machine so it doesn't take any room away from dishes. You can barely hear it run. Love it!
