I have Beagle Diva (see my av) and a Mastiff. Both think they are Quilters Quality Control Specialists, and they want to test drive everything I make!

I have cats in the house although they are not to fond of me. lol One is supposed to be my daughters cat (Ariel) and the other is supposed to be my husbands cat(Bastogne). Well Ariel loves my husband and Bastogne loves my daughter so they swapped I guess. My husband also has a four year old Basset Hound. Sunday I went and picked up MY DOG, an eight week old merel Great Dane.

Although I only claim one of these four animals I feed and clean up after all four, even though my husband is their favorite! Kinda odd the kids are the same way. lol What would men do without moms? their kids would love them but they would sooner or later starve to death and stink in the process.

It is safe to say we all are animal lovers....:-) ...
my cat is 23 years old and shows no signs of slowing down...even though he has lost his hearing early and now he has catarac's and is all but blind....but his sniffer is working fine indeed....:-)...

No cats--I'm allergic, unfortunately. But my girl Molly in my avatar I call my "catdog" for her feline tendencies. She was raised with a kitten and I think something rubbed off on her!

Over the years we've owned several dogs and when my DD and her two girls lived with us for about 5 years, we had my daughter's Quaker Parrot (Tweets) with us. Many times while I'd be sewing "Tweets" would be on the nearby table next to the window and I'd hear, "Hi There, whatcha doin?" and I'd automatically smile and answer with, "I'm sewing". Then I'd look over to see that "Tweets" was actually looking out the window and trying to converse with other birds. And before moving in with us, when my DD was going through her divorce and had to work, she'd leave her radio on an easy pop program to keep Tweets entertained while she was gone all day. Apparently about 2 hours after she'd leave for work the station would change over to hip-hop music, so once they all began living at our house, Tweets would entertain us by singing rap songs and dancing along his perch, with his head bopping to the music he was singing. And we were amazed that we could identify the dozens of songs Tweets would sing.
I would love to see that! What a smart bird to memorize those songs and replay them back so that you could recognize them.

We've always had cats until our last one died this past fall. Not sure if we're getting more or not, but they are wonderful company even if they do sleep on your sewing chair, on top of the fabric or play with the spools of thread!

5 here !! And yes, they have rules about fabric and quilts- just like most every cat I know! haha
1 Must mess up blocks when Mom is doing layout
2 Must sit on fabric, quilts all the time
3 Must play with everything Mom has in her hands while sewing.
and on and on and on :D:D:D:D:D
