Where are you? I'm in Nebraska, and would welcome meeting new quilting friends.

Sometimes you may be surprised by the close proximity of other quilters. Get to know the salespeople at your local fabric store. Sometimes you can make connections through the shops. Or take a class. Or look for a guild/church quilt group/etc. Or start a group...
I was surprised by the number of quilters around me, once I made it known I was interested. :D

The map idea isn't a bad idea. I would like to see dots of where the members live- like a dot graph- curious here. I always wonder if there are more quilters in a cold climate than a warm one.
I don't have the data for message board users, but here is a map showing locations of the newsletter subscribers using IP geolocation.

I run advertising mostly for the US so the stats are skewed on a worldwide scale.

But inside the US, it pretty much mimics the general population density.

That is a fantastic map! Thanks for the pictorial! I am a visual person, and this does give me a good idea of where we are, all over! Great! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This is a real spatter gram! And we do have some concentrations!

That would be great! I just went to member listing.. um 320 plus pages too bad you cant sort by state at the top which would narrow it down a bit.
