Just what I do! It makes it so much easier to find-if I cut patterns I loved and tossed the rest of the mag, I wouldn't get the enjoyment of discovering new patterns in old mags as my tastes changed over the years and ability increased to try the more difficult ones. I have always "flagged" with color tabs, but over the years, I have found some of them I no longer want to make so "un-tag" those, and re-tag new ones I now might like to make.

I save only the pattens I want and put them in the plastic note book sleeves. It works so nicely, and I don't have to keep a stash of magazines that have mostly adds in them.
Also, if you remove the staples first, it is so easy to save the pages you want and not tear them trying to get them out.

I take mine to work and leave them on the tables for anyone to take if I have cut bits out. Others I take to my guild, or to a work colleague who quilts, and she hands them on in her guild. They have an honesty box at the guild, and use the money in it to buy batting for charity quilts.

Same here. I have quite a few of Miniature Quilt mags too.
Haven't bought any for a couple yrs.Our library no longer accepts craft mags & I don't know other quilters.

I tear out what I think I will really make...usually one pattern per book...than I pass them along to friends.

I actually sat out yesterday in the yd with piles of them...Going thru putting them in date order then making up a notebook of quilts in each one I want to do in the future.
This way I can just get to my notebook find the date of mag and pg of project...
