I had a cat that was raised by a dog when she was a kitten. She had a little yip instead of a meow, would run to the door and meet people and would sit up and beg at the table. People that would knock on the door would comment that they had been greeted by dogs, but never a cat. She was about three year old when we got another cat, then she learned to meow.

Years ago, we had a poodle, a dachshund and a lab. We also had a Himalayan cat. Every morning, the dogs were let out for their morning duty. When they came back in, they all lined up at the kitchen sink, under which were the boxes of varying sized dog bones. The cat decided that he should also participate and as each dog sat up for his or her bone, Muffin, the cat, also sat up and took his wee small bone in his front paws. It was a sight to see. PS, he crunched them up like the dogs, but never barked.
