Being frugal is wonderful, but look at this as an investment. Not only can you make gifts, but the mental benenfits from sewing/quilting should not be forgotten either
Therapy in a box yessirreeee! take it out and tell yourself that you are worthy of and deserve an indulgence. After all, we can't take it with us when we go and our kids will just buy a sports car or something, so have fun and treat yourself well!

oh and if those voices keep telling you to feel guilty, tell them to shut up because they talked you into it in the first place:)

enjoy it!!!
first I spent $1500.00 on a Pfaff 2046 and thought I would
never have to buy another machine. Then I spent $4000.00
on a Pfaff 2170. I bot the store model so saved a bunch on
the price that way, so no guilt for me. I love them both and
don't feel guilty at all. Life is too short. Have fun.

Enjoy your new machine. Sounds like you got a great price. You are worth it. Your husband will enjoy you keeping busy and happy. No more voices. Only the ones saying "what shall I create next". Life is too short. Create some great memories for your loved ones.

Hugs, Nancy O.

If you can afford gifts to yourself why fret about it? That's no fun and no way to live the one life you have. As my kids tell me, if you don't spend it we sure will.

Hi, everyone, I disappeared for a few days... too busy playing with my new machine! I appreciate all the advice. Y'all know what you're talking about. This is a GREAT machine. I've already made two projects and can't wait to try quilting with it. I did research before the purchase and know I got a decent deal. I'm so glad I listened to this thread instead of the evil head voices.

Welcome from Missouri!! A friend of mine bought a machine, paid $1000.00 for it. She brought it over so I could help her learn to use it and she never touched it again. That was over a year ago. She really didn't need to spend that amount on a machine to sit in a box. I figure she just doesn't want to take the time to use it. So enjoy that machine!
