a gorgeous flower my neighbor gave me
#1
She walked over with a hand full of some plants she had pulled up and asked if I wanted them. She said they kept multiplying each year. I wasn't sure what they were, so I dug a hole and planted them. Now it is 2 1/2 months later and look how pretty :)

I'm not sure what it is. I'm attaching a picture of the whole plant. Some of the flowers are more feather shaped. I wonder if it is what my Mother use to call "Indian Feathers"?? I'm ready for it to be a little cooler so I can get outside and do some much needed weeding in my flower bed.

We call them Rooster combs here in NC because the top looks like a roosters comb. They dry really well and have a lot of seeds under that bloom. they are really tiny, looks like little black dots, they will come back year after year if you let the seeds fall off.
