I Had to find another job after 5 years. it took me one year to get to the job i have now, and that included working at a job I didn't like. bottom line is I love my job now and realize it was a journey. there's always a reason and you may not know what it is right now, but good things are on their way! I wish you the best.

Diogirl,
A year agp I was laid off, I was working at that job for 10 years and loved what I did. I thought I was going to retire from it and all the sudden they closed the FL office. To make it worse I was leaving on vacation 2 days after the announcement. So I totally understand how you feel. It has been a year and I still think about my former job and how happy I was. I would tell you a couple of things. one is to start looking for a job and take one as soon as you have the opportunity, waiting for the perfect job will not help you in any way and you can continue looking until you find the perfect fit. Second, enjoy the time off (not only the vacation) while it lasts because you will be back in the workforce soon.

So sorry to hear about your job loss. I wish you the best in finding a new (and better!) position. Also, enjoy your vacation and use it to relax and de-stress!

I went through that last year, but got called back in 2 months. It was touch and go again this summer, but we pulled through. Fortunately we don't owe anything, so that helped. I fail to see how they can say the economy is improving. Things are certainly hard around here. I wish you luck with your job hunt.
