This a picture of my Mother and myself made in September at a family reunion. Of course my mouth is full! My Mother had a stroke in July last year and has difficulty now communicating. She was 88 years old this past Febuary.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

First picture is my Mom and me in 1953. She is wearing the traditional german Dirndl.
second pic is my Mom and Dad at their engagement in 1942.
They are both gone now, and not a day passes when I don't think about them and miss them.

I'm sitting here with tears pouring down my face. What wonderful pix & memories or moms & grandmothers.

I wish I had better memories of my mother who passed away 3 yrs. ago at 93. She was a perfect mother growing up (as kids) but once we became adults she never had a kind word to say about anybody. I so miss having the kind of mother I am to my kids.

Thank you for this thread. So many beautiful mothers and family. I miss my mom so very much, as she was always my best friend. She sang to us, taught us to sew, cook, clean and to be women. She was really someone to look up to and serve as a role model because she loved everyone and was so forgiving. Here is a picture made in 1934 when I was just a babe, with my mother, grandmother and my great grandmother. Four generations of women. The next one is my mom and my niece, years ago. Mother died about ten years ago to be our guardian angel.

This is my mom. She died 12 years ago, but I miss he still. She was a special lady who raised 12 children and taught us all to be hardworking and creative.

Mom passed away Christmas eve 1998 and every year we still gather around to talk about how much she is missed. I think about her a lot. I think what made her so special is her strength to "carry on" when things around us seemed to fall apart. Mom was an only child and only heaven knows why she chose to have 14 children of her own, we were a wild and crazy bunch of kids.

A mom's love is always missed, no matter who or where you came from.

So to all Mom's, we salute you for all the crap you take from your kids! LOL

This is Mom at age sixteen

Here is a picture of my mother and grandmother together. MY mom raised 13 children and 2 grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and is loved and missed very much. There's not a day that I don't think about my mom.
