This is exactly why I feel funny responding to every single reply to a post of mine. If I post a picture of a project and there are a lot of "looks great", "nice job", etc. I think it can be way overkill to respond to every single one of them. I try to answer any specific questions and I also do a, "thank you everyone...."

I am sorry that you or anyone else here has ever felt slighted (((HUGS)))
In the last 4 months, the volume of topics has quadrupled at times here :D:D:D Between Thanksgiving and New Years I was kinda laid up and spent more time here on the board than normal... I could literally spend 5-6 hours reading ALL of the new threads and keeping up with the ongoing ones...and still miss some things
I really don't think anyone is intentionally ignoring anyone, it just gets hard to keep up some times :D:D:D
As much as we would all love to read and respond back to everyone, it just isn't always possible.
If I have ever done this, please believe that it was never an intentional slight, it was just an oversight.
Another thought is this...when I respond to others who reply to my topic, I read what has been answered and then type my responses, sometimes I wonder in doing this, we forget someone's reply? I don't always hit quote reply to answer, because sometimes that would mean doing this 20+ times, so many of us try to answer all/most in one response.

I try to reply when I can, but then wonder if you all are getting sick of hearing from me. :-)

I feel this too Lisa! (sorry to edit you BTW!) When I get lots of nice comments if I post a quilt for example, I appreciate every single one and want to thank each person individually but that would soon get very long and I suspect boring for ppl checking in to find me saying 'thanks' to someone who just said 'nice quilt'! So in general I only respond to specific questions or comments and put in a general 'thanks everyone' now and then. I hope this doesn't make ppl feel ignored if I haven't responded specifically to their comment.

Some threads very quickly run to several pages and I try to at least skip read every one before asking a question, in case it's already been discussed but sometimes it's just not possible. We have so many members now and are such an active board, I guess we're victims of our own success! :-D

K3n, no need to apologize for editing me. I do that, too. It makes it easier to read and follow for everyone when you only keep the bit you're replying to.

And I'm glad I'm not alone in not always knowing when to respond and when I'm responding too much.

I've felt that way before, like when I posted my first quilt. Some people said things, but then I'd see others post their first quilt and they had pages and pages of comments. I think it has to do with day of the week and time of day you post, too.

i'm sorry, but i'm confused by the question. none of your posts have been ignored. you've gotten at least a few replies to each one. you've receive many replies to most. you also have thousands of views. no few than 107 ... one topic was viewed 7700 times and got 658 responses!

i'm a moderator and i don't get that kind of action.

    maybe i should be jealous.
