Oh the pay backs I'm sure you could give!

I was awake during mine. DH was knocked out for his but woke up during it and looked at the monitor, said," Just like on the Discovery Channel." The nurse told him to go back to sleep!

Tell him to grin and bare it!

Hope all comes out o.k... I mean 'goes well'. :-D

I've never had one, though since I had cancer that traveled into my colon recently, I'm sure they're in my future.

Good thing I hear is that you don't remember a thing.

Now as for this craving for dog food, you got me there. Keep him away!

Tell him that you will get him a really good cheeseburger afterwards.

TeeHee . . . makes me think of the pepto bismal commercial where the husband has eaten just about everything in the house, including dog bisquits.
My brother-in-law had one recently and was home in 2 hours and wanted to go turkey hunting by the afternoon! Of course, my sister made him wait a day!

I had one when I was in my 30's - the prep is definitely the worst part. The nurses told me at the pre-op "if you don't clean yourself out - then we will do it when you get there." I can't even imagine what kind of torture that would be - so tell him it's better if he does it....Don't want the nurse to show up with a garden hose and rubber gloves. Yikes....

The prep is definitely worse than the procedure. I'm due for another one next year and already dread the gallon of salty liquid. I couldn't make it through the whole lot last time, and still passed (both ways!!)
