I have a SIL whose house is spotless, she cooks three meals a day, cleans each day and does laundry each day. I can't live like a maid. I need to be doing something creative. Since I quilt the craft show circut, I've started quilting and really enjoy the process. I'm learning. None of my friends quilt or sew for that matter. I can't sit still, I have to be doing something, artsy!

I belong to a local quilt group and there are lots of people who share my interest in quilting so finding someone else to shop with is never a problem. I agree that not having hobbies, and especially creative hobbies, would make for a boring life for me. Still, I'm not much of a collector and I know people who just delight in the process of collecting stuff. To each her own.

I to have no one to quilt with or talk hobbies, the friends i have done have hobbies, but they read, or cook/bake, though they are encouraging in my stuff i show them. Though I have one long distance that we do talk quilting as she quilts also. So to each their own. And thats one reason Im here on the board. DEB

Oh yeah, I do all that stuff too. But one thing i must have in my life is COLOR !! I don't think I can even count my hobbies..."interests". Sometimes I surprise myself.
