We had a Chocolate Lab that loved anything she thought was edible. All we had to do is line-drive a pill at her. She'd catch it, swallow it and beg for another! Gotta love those labs! (of course, there were many things she wasn't supposed to eat that she did over the years!).

There is something new called Pill Pockets for cats. They look like teeny tiny cups made of treat food. I didn't think they would work, but they are great! Round ones fit fine - you fold the cup around the pill. The bigger pills, I broke in half and gave him two. He really loves them! I discovered them because the above is true!

Thanks! So funny and pretty much true. We have the same problem getting one of our cats into the cage to go to the vet. Guess what, she never made it to the vet, even when the vet said I could come with no appt. and just sit and wait (if I could catch her).

Last time we brought the cage in to loan it so someone else could have fun. It came in the back door....the cat disappeared....and we didn't see her until after suppertime!

****************** Not quite that easy here. I put peanut butter on a slice of balogna and stuff pills into peanut butter. Works great-------everyone happy![/quote]

AND you get the fun of watching the dog try to smack the peanut butter!

I just put it into peanutbutter bread and roll it up into a ball.
Both my cats and dogs take it this way.

but this is cute what I read.

That is sooo funny!!! Reminds me of a time when my daughter was about 8 YO and entered her cat in a cat show, Then the train came thru town, needless to say, the cat won "Most Vicious Cat" and daughter went to ER and got a shot. True Story.
