does it look like the same pattern? I have the pattern for this particular one. It is rather old but I still have it.

It's gorgeous! I would put a colored tablecloth underneath it when you take your pictures. It'll make your details 'pop' a little more.
I hope you make a lot!

Oh, I have done that tablecloth, its really pretty, was my second crochet project. Oh yes, I know I was nuts to start that for my second project. My DD has it now.

You were very brave to make this as your second project. I had been crocheting for years before I made this. lol..

There is a rather neat story behind this tablecloth... My mother made one of these for our family reunion. ( we take homemade crafts and have a auction throughout the family members to raise money for the cost of the reunion) Well my little brother asked me how much I was going to pay for moms tablecloth. I told him I only had 150 extra dollars to spend. The auction started, people were bidding, it got to about 70 and they quit....... well this is where my little brother and I took over... hands went up and down and then finally we both just stood up in our own corner of the room. with our hands held high signalling the auctioneer thatwe were bidding. well it got to 150. my bid, the next thing I knew my little brother smiled at me and left his hand up for 155 . Oh yeah I was ticked.. He conned me. Needless to say he won moms tablecloth. Afterwards I told him that was ok I would just make my own. He returned..... thats ok but it wont have moms little white hairs crochet into it.!!! he got me.... later on I found out that he did not have enough money on him to pay for this and had to borrow money from my oldest brother who was also there... so goes the story of the tablecloth!!

I use to enjoy making fine lace crochet doilies, & things like this, but trying to sell them was almost impossible. Now that there is all these cheap imported available, people don't want to pay anything for lovely handmade, american made ones. Good luck, & please post & let us know if yours sells & for how much! I have a beautiful round one I did, & will probably gift it to someone someday, who loves this kind of stuff as much as I do! Sad, isn't it!....

my MIL gives small crocheted items to the church every year for their auction. Just the small doilies go for $25-$30. so yes, go ahead and start at $400.
