Made my first 2 quilts at 23 and then didn't do anymore until about 4 years ago - 55. I SO hate it now that I let all those years go by..............

Sewing since childhood but only took up quilting end 2004, aged 54. Just as well, would not have had time in my working life, but being retired I can sew all day with a clear conscience!

Just started las November (2010) at age 54? I really enjoy it and wished that I had caught the bug years ago. LOL

I started quilting at 6 yrs old when my Grandmother started me out with hand piecing a 9 patch quilt that I still have. Not a single seam matches but I remember my Grandmother telling me it was the most beautiful quilt she ever saw. I was hooked and have been quilting for 50 yrs.

I started when I was 46 and laid off.for a year...employeed again thank goodness...but now I have a hobby instead of just work.
