Unfortunately we didn't make enough (bad thing) to have to file since we don't owe anything (good thing). For us it all came out in the wash this year.

We decided to take a trip to Cincinnati to visit family. We're going to stay with my dh's cousin and her dh. I love her dearly, she's like a sister to me. Coincidentally, there is going to be a big quilt show during that week, April 8-10, my, isn't that amazing

Last year I paid off the mortgage and the youngest got married, so no deductions there for me. I will see if they owe me or I them... but I did just get a nice size(for a hospital employee) bonus check and it is going into my savings account titled Vacation (even if it really is an emergent fund) it is nice to dream...

We used ours to catch up on bills and pay for club volleyball for our girls. The rest is a kickstart to rebuilding our savings. Now that dh has a job again, we can start saving even if it's only a couple of dollars a week! It definitely didn't come a moment too soon! Close to losing everything but now we should be okay. I love tax refund time!

Gee I didn't know you could get a refund!! LOL We pay quarterly taxes and still end up paying more when we do our taxes. It has been about 20 years since we have had a refund.

It will just go into the 'general fund' which we use for monthly bills
I love this time of year, the tax refund, the gain sharing check, and for some reason, BP, my husband's employer, decides if you show up to work every day, for a whole year, with no UNEXCUSED absences, they give my husband a check for $1000. I don't understand, he just does what they pay him to do, and he gets rewarded.
