Why don't you post a picture of a quilt you plan to sell with dimensions showing front and back. Some one following this thread may make you a nice offer for it or them if the price is as bad as you first thought for repair.

Having 8 children, I learned to replace windows like that in a hurry. Hope you have luck getting yours taken care of.

It's REALLY easy to replace that pane, and you won't have to pay out the nose!! You should be able to do it for about $20 or less... check this video out.

I was going to ask the same thing. I don't know that it will, but it couldn't hurt to check. Unless of cours your deductable is more or about the same as the cost of the window.

First, call the insurance company, then call a glass repair person. If it's a whole window that just has the "sashing" to make it appear to be small windows, then maybe the insurance will cover it. Good luck.

Looking at your photo, the cracks don't go through to any other piece of glass, so it's just that one pane that will need replaced. Sure looks like it's an old window, too, but it should be fairly easy.

When I cracked a HUGE (3x6) window pane at my old house, I put clear packing tape over the crack to secure & seal it until we could afford to get it fixed. At least that will prevent any further damage, and noone will get hurt in the meantime.

You can get a new one cut at any home improvement store and buy the glaze and fix it your self. It's not hard.

Don't feel bad 2 of our windows got broen by our dog- she's a newfinland/lab first time was going after a UPS truck, second was just standing and gently putting her paws on the window to watch some thing- She was a rescue so we weren't prepared for al she may do. the third was by our oldest son who though a suction ball would be soft enough to shoot in the house with a sling shot.

If you can put together quilts like you do, YOU can fix this window yourself. It is not hard to do. I've done it myself. You can do it. If your DH is not interested in helping, maybe he could take the children out, while you fix the pane.
