What I have been doing over the weekend is that every time she jumps up there I will immediately go over, telling her "NO", catch her, and put her in the garage. All the while telling her "NO". Probably an exercise in futility.
I put foil on the table, 4 long sheets, and crinkled them up a bit. Doesn't stop her from getting on the counter though, which she does sometimes but not the fascination she seems to have with the table.

We use to put a few pennies in soda cans and cover the soda can with a sock, so it wouldn't damage anything, when thrown. Whenever our dog would jump up in the window seat to bark at everything outside and tear down the blinds. We would throw them toward him. They make such a loud tinny souund he hated them. After a while we just had to set them on the furniture that he was not allowed on and he would not even try. I would think cats would hate the sound too. You might try it. A trainer told us about it. Just make sure if you toss them it doesn't hit your pet. After a while we could remove them and he would not attempt to get up on things he was not suppose to.

You could also try ignoring her, see if that works - if it's just attention seeking, that might stop her. :D

Well, the tin foil is a bust. I got home, took my shoes and tights off, started a pot of coffee and sat down on the couch to log on my laptop. I heard some crinkling and thought it sounded like paper ripping and I wondered what she was getting into. I looked around, didn't see her, looked towards the kitchen and there she is... sitting on the foil on the table.
I had greeted her, held her, petted her and talked to her when I came in.
I think I will get some clear plastic carpet runner with the spikes on the back side.

Trade the cat in for a dog. Problem solved. No really I had a cat that did that until I put baby oil on the table a few times. She slid off to many times and decided that wasn't a very good place. Good luck :thumbup:

I had a cat once that love to get on my kitchen counters. I put tape (the regular stuff) sticky side up along the edge where she always jumped up and it worked. It only took 2 times of doing this so they can be trained. If she is trying to look out a sliding glass door, maybe turn a chair around to give her a view without getting on the table. We used to do that for our kitty and she stopped getting on the table. Hope that you find a solution. Good luck. Hugs ........ :D TIgger :D

One of my cats insisted on scratching on the couch.
The only thing she is scared of is a plastic Wal-Mart type grocery bag.
I started shaking one for the noise every time she would scratch and she would RUUUUUUUUUUUNNNN! :lol:
Now, if I see her going towards the chair, I just pick up a bag & show it to her and she ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnsssssss FAAAAASSSSSTTTTTTTTTT!!! :lol: :roll: :lol:
