I will say that my good friend who is a serious world traveller went to Viet Nam and loved it. She has been every place you can imagine and a few I've never heard of and always says Viet Nam is in her top 5 best trips ever. Thailand and New Zealand are a couple of the others.

I guess going to both places is not an option? I mean, as much as it costs to go from Guam, it'll cost that much more to go from the states, which means you probably won't ever go to whichever place you don't choose.

That said, Vietnam sounds like the better bargain, and hubby would go, too.

I really do want to do Palau, but I cannot see spending that much for just one thing I want to do.
I don't know what RH is......

Vietnam has so much history there. It's been on my Bucket List as a place to visit, along with The Vatican. I'll get there someday too!
Thailand is also a place I thought about going too. Can get a good price on airfare and hotel to Phuket, Changmai and a few other areas, but not sure what I would want to see there, other the River Kwai. Hubby has already been there and he has sailed down River Kwai.

And no...going to both places is not an option, unless someone wants to send me the extra money ;)

Well, sounds like you should do Viet Nam, especially if it's on your Bucket list. It would probably be one of the last places on earth I would chose, and a dear friend of mine just had a horrible experience there (her mother died from horribly botched surgery while visiting) so that has probably colored my feelings). I know that another good friend went to Cambodia and loved it, especially Angkor Wat.

RH is "Evil Russell". I'm a huge Survivor fan too, and never miss an episode if I can help it!

Well, I don't plan on having any surgery or being sick while I am there.

I can't stand that Evil Leprechan. He just creeps me out!!!

I can't stand him either. But if you go to Survivor Sucks, a spoiler says that he goes to the final with Parvati & Sandra. But it also says that Sandra wins. Wouldn't it be great if he lost twice in a row to a woman!!
