Ooops, this pattern does not have pockets. I don't have a need for pockets in my pj pants. I never mentioned that in my recommendation.

I've made PJ bottoms before and enjoyed doing it. My favorite ones are made from soft sheets that I found at Salvation Army...so soft and silky and a lot of material in a sheet. Sometimes I can also get a pair of boxers for myself out of the sheet also to wear in the hot summer months.

For pockets, you could add "patch pockets" on the front of each leg or even on the back of the pants. You can google "how to make a patch pocket & there are you tubes that show how to make them. Here's a video on how to make a patch pocket.

I had to add a pocket to the pajama pants I made for DD. I cut two 6.5" squares being careful to check for directional fabric and get them in the right orientation. I sewed them right sides together on three sides, clipped the corners, turned it right side out. I turned the edges of the open end in to finished the square and I make that side the bottom of the pocket. I position the pocked on the top of the right hand leg and sewed it to the leg on three sides. It looks good and now you can tell the front from the back of the pants. I added pockets to each of the pants I made for myself.

found that pattern and made 8 pairs in time for Christmas! Added a pocket on the side before I sewed them up-worked great!

Thanks for all the heads up on this pattern. I needed to find a pattern like this so that I can customize it for my size and length. I am so tired of having to shorten everything I buy. This way it is one and done!
