It is not wrong, or illegal. I wish more people would stop focusing on the bad stuff and look at all the blessing and good things going on in and around their lives. The sun still shines, the flowers still bloom. We have a roof over our heads and food on the table. Some people just like to whine or get sympathy.

Joy, comes from within, like Cybrarian just said. my Joy comes from my relationship with Christ as well. I can choose to let it shine or I can choose to be cranky and whiny. Most of the time I choose to be joyful and happy and kind to others.

I'm not a morning person either. Not grumpy, just not communicative.

I have a sign at my office door that reads "Thank you for not being perky" lol People love it.

That sign only applies to about 9 a.m. (until I am fully awake).

It takes fewer muscles to laugh than to frown and smile lines are more pleasant than downward pulling frown lines any day.

As the song says "Don't worry - be happy"

I have personally been appalled more than once at the supposed "humor" they seem to find in current tragic events. Well I turned this in to a soapbox didn't I? Sorry, not meaning to offend anyone just my observations. Anyway Redkimba it is NOT wrong to be happy/content I'm sure your outlook and attitude are a blessing to many around you.
I totally agree with you, nothing is sacred these days !
A happy person can only spread happiness, a smile a day keeps the doctor away!

Having seen several people go through difficult times, especially lately, I am glad to wake up on this side of the dirt.

Also, being cheerful is easier, even I have the reputation of being the "Mean One" in the office (bookkeeper so I tell everyone No)...makes them worried if I am cheerful, lol... soooo much fun!

No it is NOT wrong. I think some people are so miserable in their lives that they can't stand others being happy. Sad for them, because life is way to short to get upset over the little things

Enjoy what time we have with our friends and families, they're whinnies the ones missing out!
