Me too!!! I need about a half an hour in the morning of everyone leaving me alone and then I'm good for the day. :)

I am very much an optimist. Happiness comes from within.

It has taken me years and years to figure out my mother and sister's main goal in life is to suck the joy out of it for everyone around them. Needless to say I spend as little time with either of them as I can.

A good friend of mine who was going through some real tribulations always had a smile.

One day I asked her how she could be so happy when things were falling apart around her.

She said, "Every morning when I wake up, I can choose to be happy, or choose to be sad. I choose happy"

It really is that simple ♥

My daughter's friend once asked me why i was so upbeat- even if my kids anger me. I told her I'm old enough to know they have to make their own decisions ans although they are not the decisions I would make, I just watch. It's their life.

It's so much easier to be happy!!!
i was just getting ready to say "it takes more energy to carry a grudge than it does to get over it" Going thru that now with son's wife. She's carrying the grudge & I could care less. I've always said she's playing a game, she's out in left field all by herself & no one is playing with her. They see what she/people are like. Stay happy, it's not worth it

I have taught this very important principal to my kids too. I tell them when you are confronted with a crabby person, even if it's me, do your best to change their feelings to something, anything more upbeat or happy. That's your job. Leave everyone in a better place than you found them. It has helped each of us more than you can imagine.

I choose to be happy, and feel very blessed and fortunate. Nothing wrong with that!

I refuse to spend much time with people who are miserable. It's a waste of time and I choose to be happy.
I would rather be alone that with someone who is just cranky, complaining etc. I like being with me!! :D:D

I totally agree with Cybrarian! I am not a morning person but I hold to an old saying "Don't let anything steal your joy!".
