Yup, I have one because I have a small dog with a tiny bladder who likes to pee in the middle of the night. I didn't worry, until the morning DH got up really early for work while it was still dark out and saw a coyote standing on the street in front of my house!

So, we rigged up a 6x12 chain link dog kennel with a roof and a locking gate on the concrete slab against our garage, attached it to the wall, added some mulch and a "tree" (a big old stick screwed to a base) and our dog door opens up into it.

Its works great, and I can let them have access to a potty spot even when I am not home and no stray cats or raccoons can get in and the dogs are safe from scary predators.

rushdoggie, what a brilliant idea! Necessity is the mother of invention. Glad you found a way to keep your precious fur baby safe!

They are pretty, maybe not so much when indoors though.

I can't believe the pictures people get of unwanted guests these days. It must be that you make sure the kids & pets are safe and then you grab the camera!

Yes, I think that's something that would stay with a girl for a while.

Yikes!!! I probably would have fainted when I saw that. Glad to know her kitties were unharmed.

I will tell you the same thing I told my husband and my son when I found a black snake in our house: "One of us will leave this house before bedtime, either it or me. I will not stay here with that thing crawling around".
