I would rather have cold, snowy, wet winters than to have to worry about gators or snakes being in my yard or house.

Shouldn't they all be dead by now? I see NO good reason for them to still be around.

I'd have had a heart attack right there!

I have a hard time with little critters. I would be thinking time to MOVE.

That is too bad, becuase there are new styled doggie doors out on the market that have sensors on them. Your dog would have what is called a "Smart Key" tag on the collar, and the door unlocks to let the dog out. It also relocks as soon as your dog is either outside or has just come back in. This way no other unwanted stray animals can come in or out except for your own pet.

Just do a google search for "doggie doors with sensors". They are not that badly priced, and they work quite well.

Needless to say I was late for work that morning.
I have held tarantulas in my hands before. Just have to be careful not to drop them, they do have a tendency to splat.

The blood was from the alligator itself. Seems like he probably scraped himself pretty good while getting onto the property... They believe it had crawled up the bank of the pond behind the house and under a chain-linked fence, and through a screen on the porch and then through the doggie door into the house.

My daughter lives in Jacksonville Fl and her house backs up to some woods. I am always looking over my shoulder when I am at her house - especially outside!!!!!
