I won't get one. First, too expensive. Second, I don't really need a smartphone yet. My regular phone is ok for the moment.

Love my smartphone! I use it for soooooo much. However, I am not upgrading to the new Iphone5! My Iphone4s works great and not much more than a nickels diffrence between the upgrades in my opinion. I think the samsung III is awesome for a smartphone. So one could look at that if one was interested in a smart phone.

I have had a Smartphone for 12~15 years. I got tired of trying to keep 3 calendars synced manually, 2 outlooks (work & home) & a phone, and a Palm Pilot to keep up with addresses, phone numbers & emails too. Too much work. lol

I finally talked my husband into one. Now when we make appointments, we know ahead of time we don't have conflicts & have to call to reschedule. When I get a new phone number, email addy, home addy, or ???, I update my contact & send it to him. He adds it to his contacts, which means we are always up to date & on the same page. We keep our calendars synced...life, for me, is so much simpler.

I can truthfully say that if I had to go back to a flip phone, with a manual calendar, complete with all the mark throughs & rewrites & a manual address book, it would drive me nuts. I am glad that a lot of you prefer the flip phones because the phone makers need the business.

HeHe..... my iPhone 5 is coming in next week.

Barb - me too. Do you know about the Cozi Family calendar, free download? You enter something and it automatically goes to your husband's calendar and alerts him. Or any other phone you enter. We love it.

I'll check it out. Sometimes, he forgets to tell me stuff or just hard-headed & won't enter it in his, saying he will do it later. Guess when that happens? When I say, you're not going to your doctors appointment tomorrow. He gets this puzzled look & I usually get the .... I didn't know I had an appointment. Or, Is that the weekend we're suppose to do that? Thanks for the tip...I'm off to look for Cozi.

If I had anyone near that could help me program the Iphone, I'd have one in a heartbeat. Spent a week with my kids in SoCal....Absolutely everyone has one.....they are wonderful! For now I have the Jitterbug and am thinking of up grading that.....my DH has thus far refused one or any smartphone. He hates this new electronic age. I say, "join it or lose out"......I may not love it, but it's the way it is......WAAAAAAAAAAA.....I just need a kid close by to help me out.....LOL!

I have an iPhone 4 but when I upgrade, it'll probably be to a Droid. My ds has both (one's for work) and the Droid outshines the iPhone, hands down.

I have the iphone 3G. I refuse to pay the price for those things so I wait until they are practically giving them away before I get a new one. I gave $49 for the one I have. The only thing that I don't like about it is that is only has 1 camera so skype or facetime is impossible. I just got an ipad and I really like it for just surfing the web sitting on the couch. I was fortunate enough to win it so it didn't cost me anything. I don't think I would have ever purchased one - between my 3G and laptop, I could do everything I wanted to do. Technology changes so quickly - as soon as you put out the big bucks, what you purchased is obsolete. I just refuse to drink the koolaide!

We still have the old style TracFone we got seven years ago. We use it for us only and that's the only time it's on. I get this wide eyed look when people ask for our cell number. I don't give it out, it's never on and I never set up the mail box If you want me, email me or call me on the phone. We have a fancy Sony camera that our son gave us for Christmas a couple years back. It practically dances in the street. People send us their grainy out of focus phone pictures and you can't even make them out most of the time. I delete them, why would I want them in a album or even taking up room on a flash drive or disc?

My answer to those who don't understand why we don't get into the electronic age, we have what we need, would rather save that money for travel, etc. Our main TV is still a 10 year old Samsung, the heavy one. It works, has beautiful picture and color. We'll get a flat screen when this one bites the dust, our old Magnavox lasted 15 years. You have to admit, nothing lasts that long now. Thus the reason many are always crying, we have no money. I can't for the life of me understand WHY someone pays a fortune for a new phone when there is absolutely nothing wrong with the one in front of them. Makes no sense to me at all.
