I can't decide if things are getting worse, or if we are just hearing more about it. That is so sad, hope the lady is recovering well.

I hope this won't stop me or anyone else from trying to help others, just be careful, is all.
What if everyone in the world read this and EVERYBODY stopped offering help to anyone else.

I will get help for them, but it is just simply too dangerous for me to stop. I live where the police will come and help them, so I contact them.

it is great now that everyone has cell phones (except for me), it is so easy to get help for someone. Actually I do have one with no minutes and no plan, you can still use it to call 911. Take it with me on trips in case of emergency.

We won't stop for anyone and haven't for years, too many stories like this. A young man that could maybe fight back could. No one is worth getting hurt or killed for, period.

My DGS is 9 and I am still trying to get him to understand Stranger Danger. He will talk to anyone that will listen.
I to have also been forbidden to offer help/ride. My husband is a truck driver (he is one of those that you see blocking traffic to change someones tire) and if he had his way I would never leave the house alone. I always have my leash with me (cell phone) and catch flack if I don't answer it. I get aggravated when I go to my Moms house because they lock the storm door and then lock the inside door and the deadbolt then put on the chain latch. I lived in Atlanta for 15 years and had window bars and a security system. Our house was still broken into by kids from the neighborhood and we had to live in a motel for a month while it was repaired. I refuse to live in fear.. Some things you just can't control.
I hope the lady that stopped is blessed for trying to help.
