It's good to try to help others, but be careful!

A lady in a town next to ours was going to church Sunday morning and passed a young lady walking in the rain carrying a baby (or so she thought). The lady stopped to ask if the young lady needed a ride or if she could get her some help. The young lady stabbed the lady who had stopped to help her. Then grabbed the lady's purse and dropped the "baby" as she tried to flee. She picked up the baby which turned out to be a doll and fled leaving the blanket the doll was wrapped in. Authorities are still searching for the young lady.
It's so sad you can't seem to help people anymore for the ones who are putting people at risk.

It is really sad... I don't stop and offer anymore help unless I know someone, otherwise I call 911 and let the police handle the situation. It is sad, but being alone I just can't take the chance.
I remember when I used to drive to Boise State University to go to school. I broke down one time on the interstate, and I rode with a trucker to the truckstop. It was pretty safe then, now I would never dream of getting in a semi with a stranger.

My DH is a retried from the police force. He had seen so much that he will not hardly stop and give anyone a ride. I am forbidden to. He does not like it when I go the store alone. So just be careful.
