Incredibly well said. (Now to get my little Ripley out of his crate) Geez, my furbaby likes to keep me from quilting! Thanks for sharing.

After a dog's day nothing is more relaxing than your dog cuddling next to you.

Our 3 Goldens bring such joy into our lives, they really are our best friends, never 'just a dog'.

That was a great post, Ditter! I love dogs too; sadly I lost mine, and it's 4 years now, and I still haven't gotten another one. Hubby was with her when it happened and he refuses to ever have to do that again. It was the best 14 1/2 years of my life having "just a dog."

Ditter, I love that. It also applies to birds, cats, etc.

I was raised to believe animals feel no pain and are lower than humans. It took me many years to realize what animals can do, especially when they love you. I have come to believe they have souls too, and are capable of the full range of emotion that people have. After living with a bird for years, I have come to love birds most, but I love other animals too.

I love my little teacup poodle and she is very, very spoiled. I also love seeing all the dogs on the avatars.
