Go outside and dig long channels around the higher side of your house and let it lead past the lower end and go out that way. But in your case it probably means that you should have your house raised so it won't be so easily flooded every time you get a big rain storm. From far distant weather predictions, this will increase in severity as time goes on.
Just do as Flylady says and have important papers and supplies ready to grab as you run out the door. Make sure you have all the kids' stuff, pet cages/leashes, clothes and quilts.
