They really are more convenient than carrying around a book. I enjoy mine immensely.

I have the large Kindle DX and really love it. It's done everything I want and more, I couldn't be more pleased with it. I even made a zippered carrying case for it. :)

Your carry case is lovely. You need to do a tutorial on that. I'd like to make one for my Kindle -- but mine is the smaller one.

I have a Kindle (2nd edition) and my husband has a Nook. Mine is 3G and his is WiFi only. I can download anywhere (and I DO mean ANYWHERE!) He can only download when we are near WiFi. So, the choice is yours. We travel and some of it is to areas that do not have WiFi capabilities so I can still download but he can't. Go figure! Anyway, we both love our eReaders!

LOVE my Kindle, gift from DD last Christmas. We travel a lot and

it is more convenient than carrying a lot of reading material. We

recently went out of country on a cruise and had no extra costs

when purchasing books. I have even tried to turn pages by hand.

OOPs, its a Kindle. The new ones are cheaper in price and have

more features. Love mine!!! Thank you again, DD.

I did the same thing! It took me until I had completed reading my third book before I stopped grabbing the bottom corner of the Kindle and try to flip it over. I love my Kindle, too!

Me too. My DD has a Nook and loves it so on her recommendation a friend bought the Nook as well and loves it.
I also have a niece who
bought a Kindle and is happy with that one.
I have to decide soon which one I want as Santa will be coming way too soon,LOL

Kindle also has the feature of always keeping your books for you. If you are running out of room, you put a book in the archive and when you want it again, you just click on it from that location. And, just like the nook, it tells you if that book has already been downloaded.

WoW!!! You all have been a great help. Now if I buy a Kindle I am still a little confused....how much do you pay for books that you don't get from the library? You get them right off the Kindle??? You have to go to Barnes and Noble to get them? What about Borders? I may have missed the answers to these questions because there is so much info on here...but has really helped me to decide which one to get.
