daddy always said " if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right". And if we complained about something not being fair, his answer was "life ain't fair". Mom always said "wish in one hand, sh** in the other, see which one fills up the fastest"

When I was growing up I always thought my mom was a perfect lady. One day she really got mad at my dad about something and told him to "Go fry ice!" I laughed until my sides hurt, and I still use this expression today!

My mom would always say "don't ever judge someone until you walk a mile in their moccasins" and "I cried because I had no shoes until I saw the man who had no feet". And all Catholics out there will remember "you just earned another star in your crown", "offer it up for the poor souls" "do you want your reward in Heaven or on earth?". And if we did something wrong (once every ten years or so!!!) she would say well, was it worth the rosarys you'll have to say after confession"

Mom would always say as I was leaving the house "Remember who you are!" Most times I did and regret the times I didn't!

    Love ya Mom!

When I'd trip and bump myself on the stairs or something, Mom would comfort me first, then pretend to go over and comfort the stairs 'cause they had a booboo too. Made me laugh every time!

My brother in law from Colombia had the best expression ever. Whenever anyone says "If only...." his reply is this:

"If, if, if! If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle." which makes me laugh every time I hear it.

If you can't say anything nice, then say nothing at all.

Children are to be seen, but not heard.

I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them right now.

Go ask you Mother! When I asked Dad
Mom would say What did you Dad say? Of course I would always say he said it's alright if it's alright with you!(whether he said or not)
