I am in again. Since I did not make my whole 10 pounds for February, will have to make it at least 13 pounds for March. that means a whole lot of discipline, getting over this pneumonia things so can exercise dog, and doing some buns of steel tapes to get that area under control again. Does the doctors scales purposely add 10 pounds to your body?

Count me in. This has not been a good winter for weight control. March is a perfect time for me to get my act together as it's b'day month. I'll record my weight on my calender in the morning.

I'm in again. Hopefully I will get my act together and get with it.
Our cold weather makes me want to hibernate and eat. We are supposed to get freezing rain, sleet, and snow again on Sunday! Enough already! This is the south where we only get this stuff every now and then, not all winter long. haha I finish my antibiotics this weekend and hopefully my food will start tasting right and the salty chips won't taste good any more. Congratulations to all who have lost this month. I'm very proud of you and am encouraged by your posts. Have a great weekend everyone.

Be careful! A nutritionist I know advises to not lose more than 2 pounds a week.

We got rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow yesterday. Also some lightening and thunder. I am off school again today. We have used up all of our snow days so we will have to make this one up in June. The state senate is arguing over giving us extra calamity days because of the extreme weather. They have been arguing for a couple of weeks.
I hopped on the elliptical this morning. I haven't been on it in ages. Hopefully I won't be too sore tomorrow.

Saturday we got up to 81 then on Sunday when I got up it was 32 and dropping all day with freezing rain, sleet and thunder sleet. UGH when is all this crude going away for everyone. The roads were sheets of ice for coming into work. I waited until 830 to leave the house called the boss to let him know I would be late coming in. I love this company I work for, they are one of the best I have ever worked for.

Keep up the hard work, even 1 lb lost is a win.

In January I finally broke down and asked my doctor for a prescription for pain meds. I just wanted something to take the edge off so I could move. I have fought this decision for years, it just seems like a slippery slope. The first couple times I took them they really seemed to help, but not anymore. I don't want to go to something stronger, but I need to be able to move again. This is what I was afraid would happen, sigh. I have two sisters with MS who's whole lives are ruled by timing the pain medication. And yet they still can't function. While I don't have MS, I am so afraid of ending up in that position. Do any of you have a more positive experience with taking regular pain medication?

Not sure of your condition but acupuncture sure helps me and keeps me moving. When my back gets so bad an appt take care of it with fu at massage appt. people think it is a pleasure trip but don't realize when you hurt then someone needs to work on those sore muscles, well it helps and I can stay off meds.

Uh oh. My jeans that were very loose seem to be fitting me pretty well today. Has to be from all the French bread everywhere I look. Every meal, there it is. Begging me to eat it. Good thing I have to climb 4 flights of stairs to get up to our Paris apartment! So guess what we are doing for our first sightseeing adventure in Paris? A food tour! I will have to work like crazy when I get home just to break even this month. We spent our first 2 days in Geneva and yesterday in Dijon. Having a wonderful time. And guess what? No snow!

I am not sure what gives me the most pain, whether it is the fibromyalgia or the arthritis. I also get cluster headaches but the doctor doesn't know why.

lauriejo, I had a myofascial massage last week. The therapist is convinced it's the way to go with fibromyalgia. I think he was waiting for a client with fibro to work on. It helped tremendously for three days so I am going again tomorrow. He also gets to work on my torn rotator cuff.

My weight is only down a pound. There will be no batiks for me if don't change that. BTW, Congratulations, QuilterMomma, on last month's loss.

I AM losing weight and getting healthier.

Boy I sure wish I could afford to get regular massages. They have really helped in the past, but only for a few days. I am going to look into the acupuncture, it sounds like it doesn't have to be done as often.

Apparently living on a diet of pain meds and cold meds is an excellent diet plan. I am down 4 pounds for this month! Of course those are new pounds, I just found them last month.

hopefully will join in May. I'm going on a cruise on April 22.
my trick, I love icecream sundaes. I make mini ones on a teaspoon, hence the name, teaspoon sundae. a little bit of peanut butter and a teaspoon of icecream ( or chocolate yogurt). Yummy.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.
