I go to Walmart for sundries, but not groceries. At our store, the produce and the meat never quite look as fresh as they should. We have a small locally owned store that has the best meat and fish and I shop there as much as I can. Also, a lot of their stuff is cheaper.

i don't buy much at Wal Mart anymore. Since they remodeled our store the beer, wine and pop are all over the front and you have to walk forever to buy food. No, I don't like their store brand but was shocked awhile back when checking the label on a name brand can of beans and they were from China. Also, our Wal Mart has mostly selservice counters now - no way!

Are Walmart here is ALWAYS packed, then 2 checkouts open??? Three tops.
Plus, the few times I stopped for dog or cat food sales, they were out. Out of the basic Purina brands, but had LOTS of their generic brand from China, and no way do I want mypets eating that after all the recalls.....

25 calves wow I thought we took on alot when we got 5, we did loose one. Poor thing. We are doing ours with some friends since they are in the country and were in the city. We bought the animals and they take care of them. We also have 17 chickens which I believe 5 are roosters (there dinner) the rest are layers and were looking into meaters, and a couple of piggies too. Wow what a life.

Just a word of caution on the dog foods. At the time I was feeding my dogs Eukinuba which is one of the supposedly better dog foods and it was one of the brands involved.

sometimes the "gerneric"items are made by a name brand company, like Nabisco or Hunts etc.they just dont meet their standards they have set for thier products,so instead of tossing them they package them for another company that have a contract with and put thier label on it,but it is also a higher profit item for the store like WM,they make more money from it than selling a Name Brand item, its all about the bottom line always will be

Cajun Quilter, yes, I know! I couldnt believe that either, their were SO many brands on the recall! I just buy Purina, as far as I know, they werent on any of the list, but you never know, again, I think its where the ingredients came from. I wish I were more confident, I would make their food. I do give the dogs SOME people food, the bulldog LOVES asparagus, LOL!

Nope it was not, that is why I was so upset when I heard about Eukinuba. Fortunately it was not the canned food mine were getting but I quit using it anyway. My dog now has to be on prescription Science Diet. Not because of that tho.

You could be right on the pedigree, I just know the Purina Dry wasnt on it. Never give mine the wet anyhow, too expensive, although the cats used to love it!
