I wish I was close and you could share your bounty with me. Nothing better than homegrown.

My Dad used to put rock salt on his Asparagus patch to keep the grass out. Works well, but also heard that I should use Epson Salt. Don't really know why. Anyone know??

My asparagus in Northern Oklahoma was been growing for several weeks. We eat it steamed, grilled and even on pizza. I think that grilled is the best.

Your asparagus bed looks wonderful. I put one in quite a few years ago, and it is still going so strong - we love it, and we freeze what we don't eat. So easy peasy to freeze.

I cut my first spears two days ago. They didn't leave the garden. I ate them right away.
