Whatever he gives you, it will be a happy birthday. What is a Russian diopside bracelet?

never mind, answered my own question. Interesting gemstone.....

My hubbie got me gift cards & I appreciated it but there were a couple of times I couldn't use them, because they had a minimum purchase or their reader wouldn't read. I wound up finishing at the grocery, they take any & all money!

After 54 years we don't buy gifts for each other. We both still work so we buy ourselves whatever we want when we want it.
Enjoy your day whatever you decide to do.

I'd ask my husband to surprise me with picnic food. That's what we used to do when we didn't have extra money and we still enjoy a nice drive with a picnic. A gift card for fabric is nice too, but that doesn't seem very personal since you'd use the fabric to make gifts. Whatever you end up with or doing, enjoy your birthday.

This is what I did last Christmas for my husband and son. I tore out quilting catalog pages (like from Connecting Threads) and circled items all the way from a dollar to 200.00, put them on the fridge and told them anything circled would be great if they wanted to get me something. It worked out great for them...and for me

Unless you really want something "in your hand," memories are best. Why not plan a day together (all day) and go to Coney Island, or the Museum, or a concert. Make sandwiches and go to the park. Don't forget to take the camera.

Is he a good cook?? I would ask for a home cook meal at home and just be happy that you have each other in this chaotic world we now live in.

When you are satisfied, it's hard to choose something. Glad that you are happy.
