I looked it up online....bedbugs can live up to 500 days with no food. Remember that when buying.

My experience trying Craig's list for fabric has not been good either. Similar to your experience and the woman was asking $6 a yard for stuff that cost less then that to start with. She also claimed it was all LQS fabric while it was not. Some was curtains and old sheets and inexpensive fabrics many very old. She had also advertised and shown a picture on CL of what looked like more desirable fabric but she conveniently could not find those two boxes. I did not buy a single piece.

Not only is it a mess. She never would say how she was going to sell it - by the yardage, by the lot, etc. I fear that she is going to want a lot more than I would want to pay. Before I ever went there, I talked to her on the phone and asked several times about a price and she didn't tell me.
To me, it would take more of an effort than it would be worth.[/quote]

I had the same issue with the person I visited off CL. I felt she did not want to really get rid of it.

Regardless of our personal opinions about hoarding, it isn't healthy. I also have claustrophobia and a thing about bugs and rodents. I would do my best not to hurt feelings, and politely excuse myself. I won't be answering any ads for large amounts of fabric after reading these posts. It is worrisome also that you could not get a straight answer about price.

I never have looked for fabric on craigslist and would not do so. We had some good luck finding a car and also a travel trailer...local and could go check them out. Gotta be careful.
