Congrats to everyone!!! I wish them both many, many years of happiness!

DH and I did the same thing almost 25 years ago (in May). Except we didn't have the nerve to tell anyone. LOL! But we had to when we found out we were expecting DD just a few months later. My Mom was mad at first but knowing DD was coming, her first grandbaby, she was thrilled and forgave us. Momma loved DH just like he was her own son.

What a lovely romantic thing to do...and sensible!

I keep telling our lot to elope....then use the wedding money for a house deposit or whatever. Do you think any of them will listen....

I'm glad it is a happy thing for you. Congrats to you and the newlyweds. Many happy years to come.
My son is getting married this year. I may encourage him to do this. Only I want to be there. hehehe It is so expensive to do any kind of ceremony and reception these days.

It's a lot of fun - my husband and I did that 50 years ago and renewed our wedding vows this past June. Brought back so many memories (Thank God I still remembered!) Edie
