snakes dont bother me, unless theyre poisonous, I used to feed a little mouse I found in my kitchen sink when my hubs was in the AF. He worked at night and we lived out in the country (mt home id) - anyway, didnt know anyone, was lonely, first time I was ever so far from home. I would make little pnb cracker trails from the kitchen to the living rm. One nite hubs had time off and the poor little mouse came right into the middle of the living rm and just stood there staring at him!! No crackers!!! LOL - he went out to buy a pound of poison the next day! of course I had to get rid of it every nite so the mousey wouldnt eat it. I finally caught him under a shoe box and put him back out into the wild! Right now I have a huge spider in the casing of a kitchen window - now, I dont like bugs or spiders at all, but ..... its bad kerma to kill anything for no reason so I find a stray fly now and again to throw into her web, looked her up online - they only need maybe 5 flys over a lifetome and live less than 5 yrs, so just a few more yrs for her and I can take the web donw sharet

Get a pair of cats. We used to have mice when we first married, but almost immediately got a kitten who was a savage hunter, never ever saw another one in the house. We've always had at least one cat over the years. No mice. No snakes, cats get them too.
Ramona - we have a cat and thus no mice in the house but even she wouldn't go into the garage...which she occassionally liked to sneak out there but not for the last few weeks - that was my first clue it needed a good cleaning - well that and the piles and mounds of junk and the fact we only had a 2 foot path to walk in....[/quote]

My Westie dog,Annie, is a good mouser. She doesn't often eat them, just kills the wee beasties.

Now I'm gonna have nightmares!
I always get up to go to the bathroom during the night and never turn a light on....no more...no way...even if I do live in Minnesota!

I would make sure that any nighttime bathroom visit would be with a flashlight in my hand to make sure there's nothign slithering around the floor before I am able to turn on the bathroom light. That is really scary.
