Hugs to you! Had the same problem and the splints really worked well. Take the time to catch up on reading or going through quilt magazines. I bought a book rest with a filled cushion so it could rest on the arm of my couch so I don't have to hold them in my hands. Worked well. Good Luck to you :-)

This would be a good time to learn a quilting program like the EQ 7. Or if your like me I could use six weeks just to clean up my in-box, folders, and favorites. I cringe everytime my husband has to do something on my PC (defrag, delete cookies, etc); I get this long lecture and always tell him I'll do better (someday). :D

Oh my goodness that would stink. I am not sure what I would do if I was told that I couldn't sew or quilt for 6 weeks... but then maybe that would also mean no work as I do alot of procedures with my hands, I am a nurse by trade. Anyways I digress. Maybe you can get material out for your projects that you want to do and make your own kits for them. At least you can touch the fabric even if you can acutally sew or cut it. Take care and get better really soon. Jennifer

I feel your pain. I have to have rotor cuff surgery and I won't be able to use my right arm for 6 weeks I'm right handed). I have a feeling I'm going to go nuts.

Praying that the six weeks passes quickly and the rest does the trick!

After you have picked out several new projects you can straighten out your stash and choose the material for all of them, package them in kits and be all ready to hit the cutting mat running when you are all well again.
