Ahhh yes, the good old days. Have been told that during WWII they were almost imposible to get, so women would just draw a line down the back of their legs! LOL

Anytime I went to the bathroom (in nursing that was rare) I would straighten them. Most of the time it stayed straight, leaving an impression by the end of the day. To avoid, or ate least minimize the "crease" we would wear them inside out. I actually prefered the old nylons over the newer pantie hose as then a run developed in one it was easily replaced by another since nylon, as opposed to replacing the entire pantyhose. It was the garter belt that sometimes became uncomfortable.

Hated, hated, hated wearing nylons. We had girdles (I weighed 110# back then) Sure glad we don't have to wear them anymore!!

WoW ! Do I ever remember them! How about the ones that had the fancy heel designs too. I can't remember the last time I even wore hose. .. Girdles, sure was glad when they came as pantie girdles....You know, those are fond memories, and didn't we feel dressed up and our housedresses too, aprons, ect. Wonderful years back then, hope our kids can have fond memories. Thanks for letting me remember when.
