Oh no, those are the last two we have here and I hope that doesn't mean ours will be going too. They seem to think that everyone is selling or buying homes (don't they read the papers or listen to the news) because they seem to have sooo many programs aimed towards that. Where are the decorating programs that have someone spending less than $50 thousand dollars on a bathroom or the gardening shows? We want our sewing programs !!

On Saturdays we get Quilting Arts, Nancy Zieman, Fons and daughter Fons, and America Sews. Monday thru Friday, we get (on BYUTV) we get Fons and daughter at 10:00 am and at 5:30 pm. Since Liz left, I find myself disinterested in MaryAnn and Mary.

Our Pittsburgh PSB station was even offered for money to pay for a complete set of sewing shows, and they told the shop owner that "nobody wanted to watch those anymore" and wouldn't even take the money offered! Disgusting! My cable company also has an Ohio station that still has a couple of quilting/sewing shows on - once a week....better than nothing, but not by much!!

That is the way to do it. Let them know.

OKC PBS has local sponsors for Sewing with Nancy and Fons & Porter on Saturday mornings at 8:00. I support them with my $$.

There aren't any in my area any more either. We used to have Alex Anderson and Carol Duvall but not any more, but I am like you about the houses and most of the time House Hunters is all that is on in my area.

So I turned on my tv this morning to watch them and there's a home repair show on.
I wondered is it campaign week where PBS does special programming to raise money? No that's not it.
Then I checked for the shows in the Search function of my cable system.
Fons and Porter and Sewing with Nancy aren't even listed anymore.
So now there are no sewing, quilting, knitting, crafting shows of any kind on my cable.
But, oh Joy!!! if I ever want to buy, sell, repair a house there are a lot to see.
Grrrr

I wish HGTV and DIY would add sewing and quilting again...I am so tired of all the home improvement and decorating shows...
