I do have one Calphalon stainless steel frying pan that my sister gave me a couple of years ago and I do like to use it when frying because it cleans easily. I agree that everything is a sales pitch these days and every single thing is going to kill us!

My mom bought a set of Vision cookware in the mid 80s when she bought a house that had a flat top range(no burners). She was skeptical about it but ended up loving it. A few years later the house burned down. One of the few items salvaged from the fire was her cookware. She still has it to this day.

I use stainless steel, the new ceramic non-stick and corning ware (mine is the old stuff that works on the stove, oven and microwave). I had revere ware but got tired of polishing/cleaning the copper so I bought the stainless steel set from Costco when All Clad made the Kirkland brand. Have used them for (oh my) 20+ years. I also have one Calphon small soup pan that I also use a lot. I have been getting rid of the pieces that I don't use any more and replacing some of the small Corning ware pieces that I used before kids and gave DD.
