I used to knit fancy sweaters for clients. I loved doing it, but like quilting, you never get paid for the time put into it. Nevertheless, I still loved it and did it for a long time.
There are so many beautiful patterns out there, and each client was so thrilled with their hand made sweater. I even knitted a short zippered sweater decorated with yarn embroidery for a girl in the Ice Capades. She wore it in the show! |
I knit and crochet but much prefer crocheting. I do make the knitted dishcloths and an occasional sweater for the little ones.

I love to knit! That's generally what I do while watching t.v. Closed a sock toe last night with kitchner (sp?) stitch, so one sock done! Always hard to start that second sock.

I love to knit in the fall and winter when watching TV. Last year I made my granddaughter a cute poncho and my Mom seen it last week so... ya, you guessed it! I'm knitting a poncho for my Mom now.

For those who knit - Do you have a ball winder? I'm looking at a couple & wondered if it would be worth the money.

I am with you. I always have something or two in the works and carry it with me at all times. Been knitting since elementery school.

I usually use a kitchen chair, and just work around it.

I machine quilt - piecing and quilting. When I am traveling I usually take knitting or cross stitch to occupy my time and keep my fingers busy.
