I freeze bananas in zip lock freezer bags after cutting them into chunks. As I make protein shakes I'll throw a chunk or two of frozen banana in to make it creamier!

Don't even peel the bananas, just throw them in the freezer. Banana bread freezes wonderfully!

When you freeze the bread, do not slice it as that causes the slices to dry out. Otherwise the bread freezes well.

Oh, my goodness----I have often frozen banana bread with great success, but can't tell you the number of ripe bananas I've thrown out because I wasn't in the mood to make banana bread or my family's favorite---banana poppy seed muffins. Will right now go put that ripe banana in the freezer. Sure glad you asked this question.

Will this work?

Yep! But like others said, you can also freeze the bananas until you're ready to use them.

Banana Bread freezes very well as does pumpkin bread.

I freeze the bananas after i peel them and use them later in banana bread. package them 3 to a baggie because that is what my recipe calls for per loaf.

I agree, but thanks for the myfitnesspal.com, went to that, and gonna sign up. Looks like a good site, and gonna try a new approach. Tried everything else.
