Freezes really well. I have done this for years but I usually bake it in loaf pans.

Bananas do freeze well. I peel them, wrap them individually and put them in a zip lock bag. Do the same with strawberries only freeze them on a cookie sheet and put in zip lock bags. When I want a smoothie just pop a frozen banana and a few strawberries in the food processor with a small container of fat free yogurt. Nice treat. Can be refrozen.

When I have bananas that have ripened to the point that they are ready for banana bread....
(usually because no one thought to eat them before they got so ripe)
I peel them and put them in a Foodsaver bag - 3 bananas to a bag - vacuum them in the food saver...
then mash them by kneading the bag... and toss them in the freezer.

When I'm in the mood for banana bread, I pull out a package.
Perfect number of bananas for my recipe!

I do the same thing. So easy. Skin turns black but banana doesn't.

My husband and I used to own a fast food resturant & made banana splits. When bananas got too ripe I rolled them in chopped pecans and then froze them. Makes a really good frozen treat.

Will this work?

Definitely. Wrap it well. Marge L.

I always mash the bananas and freeze them. Also, banana bread does freeze well, just wrap it properly.
